This is my review of the Canon EOS Rebel T6 Camera. Several months ago I decided to buy an actual camera, that was not attached to my phone.
I started by searching Amazon and other review sites to see what kind of camera was in my budget, which was $600 or under, since I am only entry level. After looking for a while it was clear that there were more than a few options.
(On black friday, 2019, you can actually get the camera and 2 lenses for $299! Click here to Check Lowest Price. That is an awesome deal.)
Canon EOS Rebel T6 Camera Review
I narrowed it down to the bigger brands Canon, Nikon and Sony. After looking over the options the Canon camera with the lense kit stood out, so I went ahead and bought the Canon Camera Bundle!
The bundle came with a few lenses (you can look over all the items it comes with here),18-55mm IS II Lens + Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III Lens and 500mm (off brand).
The Canon lenses are great and I love to use the 75-300mm lense. You can take great portrait photos and some nicer wide images as well. I have included some of my best images down below and in the video. The Battery on the camera lasts a good amount of time. If you are continually shooting video it will probably last 2-3 hours.
Rebel T6 Video Review
The Video part of the camera is really the only downfall. The video part works great, but it does not autofocus in video mode. So, if something is moving closer or further it will need to be focused manually.
Overall though, I really enjoy using this camera and I would recommend it to anyone starting out. The camera bundle is a great option for someone to get off and running. I would also say that you may want to purchase an external hard drive or some sort of digital storage since you will be taking many photos!
One of the things I didn’t expand on to much in the video was that the bundle also came with some filters for the camera lenses. You can use these filters to make images more clear, change color and do long exposures. I was testing out some different things to do with them and came up with some awesome results.
In the picture below I used the purple Commander Filter which was then combined with the naturally orange sunset, as well as a few second exposure.
Most of the images were taken in Ketchikan, Alaska where I lived for 7 months, I have since moved from that location. In Reviewing the Canon EOS Rebel T6 camera, I have come to really like it and would recommend it. Here are some more images below, all were taken with the Rebel T6 camera from Canon.
Thanks for reading and taking the time to look and the images and watch the video. If you have any questions or comments let me know!
