Background Gradient Image Overlay with the Divi Theme

In this tutorial video I’m using the Divi Theme to make a background gradient image overlay.

One of the things I love about the Divi Theme is that they make changing images, backgrounds and overlays so much easier than it was previously done.

How to make a Background Gradient with Divi Theme

To make the background image overlay go to your section settings and put a background image in place.

Once that image is placed, scroll down to the blend mode. Change the blend mode to overlay.

You won’t see anything if you don’t have a background color or gradient.

Multi-Colored Gradient Background Overlay

If you do have a background color on you can go to the gradient tab if you want to make the overlay multi-colored.

Keep in mind that if you have a solid background color and gradient on the gradient will override the solid color.
